YOUR POOP!

Well here is a shitty subject to discuss...LOL but your poop says allot about you!! Does your coach ask you about your poop???

Whats coming out of us can tell us allot about what happening within us! That's why I ask allot of questions about your poop!

Have you pooped today??? How many times have you pooped?

How often you go to the bathroom, and how much poop did you get rid of today, can indicate your general digestive health.

I know its gross but seriously…. Have a look at your poop "It's very important that our internal pipes work well to absorb nutrients and also keep out any foods, chemicals and germs that could do us harm."

While you probably don't want to put much thought into pooping, it's an essential bodily function that can tell you if something headed in the wrong direction..

A change in pooping habits could be due merely to a change in diet, but it could also mean the body is fighting an infection or dealing with a serious condition, or that your just not getting the most bang for your buck from your foods!

Here are some hints that your poop could be giving you about your health.

Undigested chunks of food in your poop means you’re not digesting your food?? Did you chew it or did you just woof it downin huge chunks cause your in such a hurry?

You’re going to see things like whole corn or flax seeds if there not ground but you shouldn’t be seeing larger chunks of greens or food???? This is no Bueno and means your not digesting the good stuff.

The Color of your poop can be a reflection of what you eat. While various shades of brown are considered normal, some colors like black or yellow are not. "Black stool could indicate bleeding in the stomach or the first part of the small intestine," Yikes!!

Iron supplements can darken the stool to more of a dark hue or green, Taking things like Pepto bismo or eating a ton of black berries also may cause green or black stools!! Ever had this happen to you….its a bit of a panick attack until your remember what you ate or took!!!

Bright red stool can suggests that blood is coming from the lower part of the digestive system, such as the large intestine, rectum or anus. Its could mean that you’ve got hemmorids…so not fun!!! Those are a real pain in the ass!!

Pale white or yellow stool could also mean that there is not enough bile or its because you are taking a certain kind of medication.

"The reason why stool is brown is because of our normal production of bile," Now those of you without a gallbladder, did know that your gallbladder is the storage unit for bile...you still make it in your liver but ya got no holding tank left.. Bile is a fluid made by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. Bile is excreted into the small intestine, where it helps digest fat.

The shape of your poop can tell us some things as well.

Poops that are narrow and pencil-thin could be a sign of obstruction in the lower part of the colon," which means the pipes are partially blocked, getting in the way of the poop that is passing through, whats stuck in you? It might mean you might have polyps which are growths on the inside of the track. Is poop sticking to those and poisoning you. Is undigested food just sitting in there and rotting?

What else is in the bowl? You know when it rains and you see oil slicks on top of the puddles….well oil floats, so you'll see it on top of the water," So if you look down at the bowl and you see oil slicks it can mean the body isn't absorbing the fats properly." We need our good fats for allot of things, like lowering inflammation, absorbing fat soluble vitamins, and we need fat to burn fat!!! So if its just sitting on top of the water and not being absorbed, that’s no Bueno also!!

Whether poop floats depends on how much gas is in it. "Generally, poop that sinks or floats don't mean there's a problem," The jury is still out on this if its indicates good or bad?? Ive found half a dozen of one and six of the other so floating or sinking could just mean you’ve eaten allot of gas producning foods. Or you've just lost the game “hey you sunk my battle ship!!” lol!!

Smell...everyone’s poop smells. Don’t ever think your shit doesn't stink cause it does:)

Though the smell of poop can be rather nasty, smells that are particularly strange or foul shouldn't be ignored. "It's hard to believe that your poo could smell even worse than it does but it can,"

Your poop is made up of undigested food, bacteria, mucus and dead cells. It usually smells bad because of the bacteria and parasites, but it also can have compounds that produce an especially unpleasant smell. Did you eat something weird, are you taking some medication you don’t usually take?

What if you just cant poop? UGGGGG that’s the worst! Constipation Dry, hard poops that are hard to pass are a sign of constipation.

People who are constipated sometimes only poop once a week???? So they are literally full of shit!! I have a friend that can’t poop away from home……YIKES!!!! Which makes for shitty bloated vacations.

Not being able to poop and being all bunged up is a common complaint, and most people experience it at least once in their lives. It could be caused by a number of factors, including a shitty diet, lack of exercise, certain medications or lack of fluids and fibre is a big one I find.

Now the opposite of all bunged up is: Diarrhea...diarrhea ..people think its funny but it real long and runny. Diarrhea diarrhea!! Come on you know you just sang that in your head tooo…LOL!!

Diarrhea aka the “RUNS” happens when loose, watery stools pass through your bowels too quickly. Generally it lasts up one or two days and goes away on its own......blow outs! UGGGGGG!!!

"It's a normal way for the body to get rid of toxic substances, like bacteria or viral infections," but it also can lead to dehydration, and a sore butt???

Have you ever had Montezuma’s revenge when in Mexico?? Parasites found in water and food can enter the body and disrupt the digestive system, causing diarrhea that can last several days. Well that and the 86 tequila’s you had!!!

If you have persistent runs that lasts for at least four weeks it could be may be a sign of IBS irritable bowel syndrome or Crohn's disease....or your just eating an uber unhealthy shitty diet......pun seriously intended!!

If you’re a competitor or a chronic gum chewer the runs also could be a sign of chewing gum that contains sugar alcohol, such Xylitol or sorbitol.

"Someone who chews one or two packs ..or four, of sugar-free gum a day could also get diarrhea. I’ve experienced this.....nasty ass gas and diarrhea..diarrhea when your climbing up a ladder and you hear something splatter diareaha...you all know the song. Your probably humming it right now again!!...lol!!

So I know its gross but your poop can tell you allot about what going on. Make it a habit to check it out once a week. Don’t go crazy every day cause your poop changes, but if you start to notice a pattern then its time to figure out what it is.

Make sure your chewing slowly, digestion starts in your mouth. Eating high quality foods, getting enough fibre and drinking enough water goes along way!!!
